The simple beauty of a flower brings mindfulness within - giving energy, confidence and a conversation-starter to connect more meaningfully with others.
At FloweRescue we don't claim that flowers can address the systemic causes of social exclusion, but we do know that participation in flower art workshops increases the sense of inner well-being, reduces loneliness and increases social participation.
The goal of the Kukkia Kaikille youth program is to provide a forum for young people to connect with themselves and others.
After two successful program years with our pilot Kukkia Kaikille program, serving elderly people in Helsinki, we want to launch the Kukkia Kaikille program for youth.

Kukkia Kaikille is a train-the-trainer program, through which we partner with organizations in the capital region which are doing innovative youth service work. To each partner we offer a curriculum about the basics of flower care and flower arranging, and we train their youth workers, volunteers and even the young people they serve to host and facilitate flower workshops. Then we offer monthly deliveries of rescue flowers, and we see what kinds of possibilities grow.
We want to launch the program with our first partner, Nicehearts Yhdistys/ Vantaan Tytöjentila which serves girls and gender non-binary youth with innovative programming in Vantaa.
1 workshop for 1 youth: 19€
1 month of workshops for 1 partner (estimate 15 youth participate in each workshop): 285€
1 year of workshops for one partner (one workshop per month): 3400€
