We are passionate about addressing the issue of floral waste while connecting with people through the beauty and joy of flowers, and if you share this passion, we’d love to hear from you.

Join an amazing community of action

Whether it’s working for us or volunteering with us, join us to reduce floral waste and help our community. Hundreds of people from all walks of life have joined us on our journey. ⁣⁣Together, we've rescued and donated +90,000 bouquets of flowers to elderly care facilities, hospitals, charities, and community art projects.

Our Culture

We are powered by our community so we are looking for people who are excited to nurture an inclusive environment and who will work hard, but also like to have fun. We offer flexible hours, as well as a collaborative and inclusive environment.

*Flexible - We believe that we thrive when you have the freedom to work when & how you work best.

*Fun - We love what we do and have an awesome time doing it. We are always looking for reasons to celebrate and put people at the centre of everything we do.

*Inclusive - We embrace diversity and strive to create environments where everyone feels welcomed and appreciated. Everyone has something to offer.

*Collaborative - We have a shared goal of addressing the issue of flower waste and getting flowers into the hands of people who wouldn't otherwise get to enjoy them.

Our staff and leadership

FloweRescue is led by an executive director and a 5-member board of directors.

Our day-to-day work is possible thanks to our hundreds of volunteers and to our two part-time staff members: our Executive Director and our Kukkia Kaikille Program Coordinator.

Work

We occasionally have paid freelance gigs, to clean up and rescue event flowers.

Email us if you're interested in the work and might be added to our freelancer list: admin(at)flowerescue.org

Volunteer

Each year, hundreds of volunteers join us to clean and sort the rescue flowers through our Community Volunteer Evenings. Learn more, see a calendar of our volunteer sessions, and sign up here.

We're also looking for volunteers to adopt one of our elder care home partners and help to run flower workshops for them once per month. Shoot us an email if you'd be interested: admin(at)flowerescue.org

In both cases you don't need any previous flower experience to sign up, we'll give you all the training you need.
